Superhero Interview: Austin Milan

Hi, Christian here,

Okay, so he keeps saying he’s not a masked vigilante, but I’m not convinced, and here’s why!
Ask anyone around and the old LVC, and they’ll tell you that Austin is a pretty chill guy. Underneath that calm and collected persona beats the heart of a superhero.
For those of you who don’t know Austin has a twin (Shane). When they were kids their parents used to dress them similarly, but in concerted effort to protect those close to him (villains are ALWAYS going after the people close to the superheroes) Austin started dressing differently and carving out his own identity (and recently Shane grew a beard).
Austin considers himself to be a family man and grew up in the scenic Cranston, Rhode Island; always keeping in mind his hometown motto “While I Watch, I Care.” He plans on remaining close to home, maybe studying medicine in Boston or Providence, and keeping safe the streets of his favorite places: Narragansett, Bonnet Shores, and downtown Newport.

To keep appearances for the public, Austin originally decided on a career in physical therapy. He even interned at a physical therapist’s office over the summer, but when his secret identity was compromised he had to switch fields to protect the welfare of physical therapists everywhere. Austin was meandering along when he had a revelation; he could easily save the day from pirates or zombies with his super swimming and male-softball powers, but what could he do for a small child with diptheria? Call Balto? He’d be useless! Since then Austin has studied fervently to become a doctor, so that he can save the people of his world in more ways than one.
What would a superhero be without a sidekick?! Nothing. You might as well call them Arm-fall-off Boy or Squirrel Girl. Austin has a sidekick, and few heroes can boast a sidekick as cool as Riggs the Alligator. Austin and Riggs were originally sandwiched by fate and the dog allergies of Austin’s brother and father. They were the best of friends until, Riggs and Austin stumbled across a small reptile home called the Regal Reptile. In an Ash-tells-Pikachu-to-stay-in-the-forest-to-keep-other-pikachus-safe-moment Austin decided it would be best for Riggs to stay and protect the smaller reptiles. Riggs still springs into action when his Austin senses are tingling.
There you have it. Secret identities, male-softball, and alligators. If anyone is going to get the job done it’s Austin.
