A Day in the Life of UConn Students – March 22, 2012

Nisarg (6th semester Physiology and Neurobiology) wakes up early in the morning for his 8 am class

Taylor (4th semester Fine Arts) eats a healthy bowl of cereal to start her day

Alex (8th semester Nutrition) prepares for her run during the beautiful day!

Jim (8th Semester Mechanical Engineering) packs his bag with books and basketball shoes ready for a late-morning shoot-around at the gym!

Colby (4th semester Pre-Pharmacy) is enjoying an intriguing and challenging organic chemistry lecture!

Taylor enjoys using her skills in the arts to build something interesting in her Sculpting class

During the warm 80-degree afternoon, Alex makes her first trip to the dairy bar to get some premier UConn ice-cream with sprinkles!

Darlene( 6th semester Psychology and HDFS) decides to spend her day soaking in the sun at the beach!

It is a beautiful so Jim decides to take a walk and have some lunch on Horsebarn Hill.

During this busy spring day, Nisarg performs immunohistochemistry experiments on retinas in Dr. Kanadia’s Lab.

Patrick(6th semester Chemical Engineering) is deciding which Engineering classes he has to take for next semester!

As the day wears on, it is time for some studying so Colby joins her friend in our Homer Babbidge library to study some organic chemistry in one of the Group Study Rooms.

Darlene runs into our mascot Jonathan the Husky and takes a priceless picture!

Patrick decides that his hamper is overflowing so he elects to do some laundry as the busy day filled with classes and work winds down!

As the day winds down some students study and others complete other job responsibilities. Jim edits photos and keeps track of his staff’s responsibilities on an evening shift at The Daily Campus

After a long day filled with classes, lab, and work, Nisarg grabs dinner at the Student Union and walks back to his room to finish up some homework, passing the Homer Babbidge Library

I am a Junior majoring in Physiology and Neurobiology and minoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology at UConn. I am also part of the Honors Program. A few things that I like to do on campus include: Community Outreach which involves going to elementary schools in Willimantic and teaching students from K-4 math, science and a variety of other subjects after school. I am involved in research as a part of my major, investigating pathologies with the retina.
