Senioritis…does it exist???

Hi everyone, Kevin here!

So it’s finally here…my last semester! It’s bittersweet; I am excited to graduate and get a real job, but that also means I have to leave UConn, the place I called home for the past four years. I am asked all the time by my friends and family if I have “senioritis”. Well the answer is yes..I do have senioritis. I have worked hard for the past seven semesters, so this semester is a little on the easy side. I am only taking four classes and I am done with class every day at 12:15 pm. Now this doesn’t mean I don’t have work to do, but it does mean that I have a little less than I’m used to which is nice.

Senior tour guides..I think we all have a case of Senioritis

I have more time to hang out with friends and I am really enjoying my last semester at UConn! Graduating college is a scary thought, but it is nice to have a less stressful last semester. Now I have plenty of time to check off all the things I want to get done on my Senior Bucket List. Also, UConn puts on great events for the senior class like the Senior Scoop (Seniors gets to enter a ice cream flavor combo for our class) which is new this year. I have time to attend all these events for seniors and really make the most out of this year. So again the answer is YES, I do have senioritis and I am proud of it!

**Senioritis is very common among seniors. Side effects may include skipping class, going out four to five nights a week, and laziness. Please consult your professors if you are feeling these side effects before senior year.

Later UConn,

Kevin

I am currently a senior marketing major from Southington, Connecticut. Besides working as a tour guide at the Lodewick Visitors Center, I am also Executive Vice President for Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity. I play a lot of intramural sports on campus; everything from soccer, volleyball, and flag football. I am also a Study Abroad Ambassador for the UConn in Florence, Italy program. I studied abroad in Florence in Fall 2010. It was one of the best experiences of my life!
