Ricardo Hernandez (8th semester - Accounting) says sunrise over the basketball court right outside Alumni Complex dorms. 8 am classes are always easier to wake up for when you can tell it is going to be a beautiful day!

Chris Minor (8th semester - Biology) walking past the turf field on his way to an 8am class.

Austin Milan (6th semester - Exercise Science) about to start my daily crossword from our student run newspaper, The Daily Campus. It's been serving students since 1896.

Jonathan Simmons (Graduate Student - Education) meets with his fellow Master's degree students, Carly, Julie, Natalie, Tara, and Becca in the Neag School of Education to prep resumes, portfolios, and cover letters to land that great first job!

Chris Minor (8th semester - Biology) asks Ben Jerrild (8th semester - Communications Disorders) for some academic scheduling advice while on LVC desk shift.

Jon meets up in Starbucks for a coffee and a life chat with his advisor, Professor David Moss.

Hina Samnani (6th semester - Journalism) found it exciting to sit in a "mock" courtroom at the UConn Law School and hear renowned speakers Haroon Moghul and Ingrid Mattson during the "One Nation Under Law" event. Maybe in a few years, she'll actually be sitting here as a UConn law student!

Ricky Hernandez on his way to a professional business conference in Philadelphia!

Hina's friend, Amina Toor (8th semester - Allied Health), eats her appetizing lunch provided by UConn Law Dining Services. Hina says she was almost tempted to ask for seconds, especially after eating their delicious baklava. Yum!

Whitney Washburn (4th semester - Biology) walks past this graffiti every day and it always brightens up her day!

After class Whitney headed over to the Dr. Kanadia's lab where she conducts research doing some pretty cool stuff like running gels of DNA from Sfrs10, a gene we are studying.

Keerthi ready to board the community outreach bus to go to the Big Brother Big Sister program with her 'little' Victoria!

Austin hangs out in the Co-op, checking out some UConn baseball apparel. Led by national coach of the year Jim Penders, the Huskies were Big East Champions last year, finished in the top 16 in the nation, had two All-Americans, and had 10 players selected in the MLB Draft!

Ice skating at UConn's Mark Edward Freitas Ice Forum is free with your student ID, and renting skates only costs $4! Whitney says, "My friends and I love to go skate on the weekends." Hi, my name is Ricky Hernandez and I am a senior accounting major at the University of Connecticut. On campus, I am a member of Delta Sigma Pi, the Club Taekwando Team, and I am the president of Husky Records. My favorite thing about UConn, besides our fantastic athletics programs, would have to be all of the different opportunities there are for trying something new on campus. In my three years of being on campus, I can honestly say I have never been bored, and I couldn't ask for more!
