The Art of UConn Tailgating!

UConnFootballUSF01

Hey everyone, Kevin here!

Fall is my favorite season for many reasons. I love the cool, brisk weather but most of all I love UConn football! One of the best parts of going to football games is the tailgate. It’s a great way to get pumped up before the game and show off that Husky Pride! In order to have a great tailgate, there are three things that you must have:

1) FOOD! If its a morning game, breakfast food is essential. Eggs, sausage, bagels, and hot chocolate is my ideal meal. If its a night game anything goes! I love burgers, hotdogs, or chili. The more food, the better.

2) YARD GAMES! Ladder ball and corn hole are my two favorite games. Make sure to bring a football to toss around with your friends too.

3) FRIENDS! Make sure you get a big group of your friends and family together. My parents get season tickets every year, so it is nice I get to see them at every game (and I get some free food of course). Every year at the Homecoming game, my fraternity puts together a funded tailgate, and all of the alumni come up. It’s a great time, and it is great to see everyone who already graduated.

I bought season football every year I have been at UConn and all the game have been a blast! One of the best parts of UConn is the Husky Pride and every football game is a chance to bleed blue!!
